Solid repair, The frog was fitted with a 1.5 mm hardwood lining and a thick iron that is ground and sharpened fitted The result is a really close fitting mouth see photo. The plane has a heavy casting giving it a good weight. The sole is flat and overall it has turned out to be a good user plane possibly over 100 years old, This is the most accurate description I can give about the plane, There are also two sets of Ground and sharpened irons of slightly thinner thickness if a slacker mouth is required
