Excellent sweaters for bulky knitting machines. From the author: I have designed the sweaters in this book so they may be worn by men or women. All the patterns give you a choice of sleeve length and underarm length. That is the main difference in mens and womens garments. SInce they are all bulky styles, they are great to make the oversized sweaters. The chest or bust measurement given for the size of the sweater is the actual garment measurement. That way you can allow for the amoutn of ease you want to get the fit that you like. The only sweater that isn't suited for men is the scoop neck pullover. The only sweater that would require a ribber would be the one done in English rib. All the others you can latch up the ribbing, use mock rib or even crochet a small band. Two sweaters are knit in tuck, if you dont have a machine that does pattern knitting you could manually select the needles and put them into hold following the punchcard as a graph to do the tuck stitch. All the sweaters are made using 2/24 yarn but any yarn that matches the gauges can be used. I used from 4 to 6 ply in the sweaters. Sweaters are in sizes 34 through 44. Excellent book.
