Description: This scalloped and embossed rectangular covered vegetable dish is trimmed in silver and gold, an unusual combination. The dish measures approximately 9 1/4 inches long not including handles and measures 6 1/2 inches wide. The handles are silver in the middle with gold bands framing the outside. Flower finial on top. The mark H & Co. over L was used from 1876 to 1889. No chips or cracks. The ends of the handles show some wear to the gold as might be expected(see photos). Please note that these items are antique and/or used and may show normal signs of wear, usage and factory defects from the early hands-on manufacturing conditions and process.
