QT's 8th film stars his usual cast of characters, and then some, with music by the legendary composer ENNIO MORRICONE - his last score but only Academy Award. Cinematography by Academy Award Nominee ROBERT RICHARDSON whose work is really reflected in these lobby card images. This card features WALTON GOGGINS as "The Sheriff" Chris Mannix. These unique lobby cards were initially given out at the San Diego Comic Con in 2015 as a set of 19, but they were also distributed at movie theaters that played the longer 182-min 70mm Roadshow release (with overture & intermission.) In this case, these cards we're listing came from Chicago's Music Box Theatre which premiered the film on December 25th, 2015. Credit should be given to filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, a true cinephile, for capturing the spirit of Roadshow release marketing seen in classic films like THE BIRTH OF A NATION (1915), THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME (1923), LOST HORIZON (1937), GONE WITH THE WIND (1939), THE TEN COMMANDMENTS (1956), BEN-HUR (1959), SPARTACUS (1960), LAWRENCE OF ARABIA (1962), THE SOUND OF MUSIC (1965), 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY (1968), among others.
