Description: One of the great classic satirical magazines that sadly never had the circulation it deserved!Harvey Kurtzman was the creator and had Gloria Steinem's help for the first few of these seven classic issues that presented such greats as Ray Bradbury fiction, and contained political and social satire that was so biting even Mad magazine wouldn't have dared cover the topics! You get the complete lot of 7, beginning with the second and third issues ever published, in these conditions: - #2, Sep 1960: No cover fading or foxing, no writing, no soiling, but both the front and back covers are bumped along the edges and almost fully loose at the spine due to crinkling and chipping of the spine edges. Inside, some foxing on the pages as you expect from these issues due to the paper used back then. - #3, Oct 1960: The date 9/13 is written atop the front cover. The covers are fairly well attached but some bumps and light crinkling and chipping appears along the spine. Inside is the expected foxing. Back cover has light stains and one crease in the upper-left hand corner. - #6, Jan 1961: No cover fading or foxing, no soiling, but both the front and back covers are bumped along the edges and almost fully loose at the spine due to crinkling and chipping of the spine edges. Inside, some foxing on the pages as you expect from these issues due to the paper used back then. A small 12/15 date is written in the upper-left hand corner of the front cover. - #7, Feb 1961: Light foxing on the covers, no soiling, but the covers are attached to the interior only due to tape along the spine that has yellowed some. Without the tape, the spine would show much more chipping and crinkling of the front and back cover edges where they connect. - #9, Apr 1961: The front cover is detached from the issue and the back cover is almost all loose. Still, the covers look surprisingly nice given their lack of attachment. Two minor creases appear in the upper-right hand corner, nothing severe. - #12, Sep 1961: Both covers still mostly attached showing light bumps here and there but no fading or bad foxing. The interior pages show the expected foxing. - Vol. #2, Issue #7, Oct 1963: Both the front and back covers are better attached on this issue than any of the others. A light smudge appears in the upper-right hand corner of the front cover where a number was once written and then its removal was attempted with only some success. Nice interior with only the expected foxing.Note: Please see the Seller's Notes about the condition above for all the details.Ships from a Pet-Free and Smoke-Free Home.Shipping Note: We refuse to profit from your shipping, and we will include multiple options so you can select the mailing method that works best for you and costs you the least.
