These push button switches were used as kill or stop engine button, as a horn button and on the 67-72 as the electric starter button switch are top quality made in Japan back in the 1970's . This switch fits Harleys 1953-1972 models. The learnin' curve: An older bike may have had several owners before you bought it to lavish all your time,effort and cash on it. That means the electrical components may have been "repaired" to death. A factory service manual used hand in hand with a factory parts book will help keep the "smoke" inside the wiring where it belongs. Handle bar switches on the older model years have often been replaced with suspect quality parts. Before you suspect expensive parts failure, get out your volt/ohm meter and check it out.
