(Uses 2/3 sheet of Abrasive) This Professional Single Sided Hand Sanding Block is made of 9 ply urethane and fiber sheet, bonded to make an ultra stiff & ultra light hand sanding block. The fiber sheet on the bottom of the block is coated to provide a hard smooth surface for use with PSA, peel and stick adhesive backed production longboard sandpaper. The block is ultra flat and has a comfortable profile for holding the block during hand sanding. These blocks are 1 1/2" thick by 2 3/4 Wide. Available in the following lengths; 4", 5 1/2", 6", 8 1/4", 10", 11", 12", 16 1/2", 20", 24", 30", 33", 36", 48", & 60" Long. You can purchase individual blocks or a Kit and save money on shipping. We recommend you purchase our Popular 4 Piece Kit, Which includes the following; a 2 3/4" wide by 5 1/2", 8 1/4", 11", and 16 1/2" Ultra Light Ultra Flat Hand Sanding Blocks. The 5 1/2" block uses 1/3 of a sheet of longboard sandpaper, the 8 1/4" block uses 1/2 of a sheet of longboard sandpaper, the 11" block uses 2/3 of a sheet of longboard sandpaper, leaving a 5 1/2" useable scrap, and the 16 1/2" block uses a full sheet of longboard sandpaper. Note, this is our least expensive version. This block is also available with various pads, such as our Black Medium Soft Rubber Pad or our Golden Urethane Pad. The best material pad depends on the job and application. With our quick turnaround we typically get your order out in a couple of days...first class mail. We do not ship this package USPS Priority Mail...because it costs several dollars more and is typically not any faster delivery. We source our laminated medium density urethane material from made in the USA manufacturers. Each sanding block is made by laminating 1/2" thick three-ply sheets of medium density closed cell urethane foam. We bond two or three sheets together to create an extremely durable, stiff and lightweight hand sanding block. We then coat the block with a quality finish for durability, comfort and to produce a professional looking hand sanding block. This tool comes in various sizes and is an excellent tool for small to large projects. Use it to sand furniture, floors, walls, ceilings, etc. Use it to sand wood, painted surfaces, from projects ranging from home repair to autobody to boat repair. It is especially useful when sanding large flat areas such as sheetrock. All Blocks are 1 1/2" thick by 2 3/4" Wide and available in a variety of lengths. We recommend ordering our four block kit or trying some of our shorter length blocks first...then ordering the long 24" through 60" long blocks after you have evaluated this tool and have some experience using this product line. The most useful lengths for our blocks are our 5 1/2", 8 1/4", 11", & 16 1/2" long blocks. These three blocks use standard 16 1/2" longboard sandpaper without any waste. Note, you can cut a 16 1/2" long sheet... into three 5 1/2" sheets... into two 8 1/4" sheets...in to one 5 1/2" long sheet and one 11" long sheet. If you decide to order some of our other length blocks, you can purchase longboard sandpaper in rolls and cut it to any length with a scissors. This is our low price kit and DOES NOT INCLUDE any Pressure Sensitive PSA sandpaper, 2 3/4" wide by 16 1/2" long, longboard sandpaper. We recommend 36 grit or 40 grit coarse & 80 grit medium. Always select open coat abrasives that can be unloaded if clogged by whacking the face of the sandpaper with a thin wire rod such as a coat hanger or small wooden paint stick or rod. PSA sandpaper is also available in small rolls of abrasive, cut abrasive to length with a scissors.
