Description: Excellent condition 1960's LL Adirondack 31" baseball bat. Knob is full, strong lettering and no cracks or chips. ThBerra and Kucks)e signature is a 9 in blue sharpie obtained in 2000 at the "Heroes in Pinstripes" Yankee fantasy camp in Ft. Lauderdale. The camp is the old Mickey Mantle and Whitey Ford Camp and not the official NY Yankees Camp. In 1999 and 2000, when I attended, Hank Bauer and Moose Skowron took over the Camp administration. Hank played with the Yankees from 1948 - 1959 and with Kansas City from 1960 - 61. He managed the Baltimore Orioles in the 1966 WS beating the Dodgers. His 17 WS game hitting streak lasted until 2023 when broken by Ketel Marte. Hank was a Marine during WW1 10 and earned 2 Bronze Stars and 2 Purple Hearts. In 1949 he was involved in the incident at the Copacabana Club when a Yankee decked a drunken salesman who was harassing the Yankees in attendance (Mantle, Ford, Martin, Berra and Kucks). Those in the know think Hank, the Marine decked the salesman, but no one knows for sure. Hank was quite a man and took no guff from anyone!
