Description: New CD , Polish release Hani Rani's album is the conclusion of a sentence, the first part of which we heard on the instrumental album "Esja" dedicated to solo piano music.The second album titled 'Home' is a story of places that become our home sometimes by chance, sometimes by choice. It’s a story of getting out of a place we know and a journey reminiscent of the Tolkien adventures of the Hobbit or the Homeric story of Odysseus. The lonely wanderer finally returns to the house he left years ago, but this house turns out to be a completely different place from the one he left and kept in memory.The album "Home" is a question about finding belonging, one's own corner, a story about happiness but also longing.Musically speaking, the second album is a summary of all the artist's previous achievements and searches. The piano and piano still remain the backbone of the arrangement, but the album will feature a much larger set of instruments that have fascinated the pianist over the years of artistic work. Rani invited Ziemowit Klimek (double bass) and Wojtek Warmijak (drums) from the Immortal Onion jazz trio to collaborate on several songs, whom she admired during the Bieszczady Breathing Festival. In addition to drums and bass, you will also be able to hear the subtle sound of synthesizers, a string quintet and Hani's voice. The compositions for the album have been made for many years, some even dating back to 2016, some were made a few days before recording began. The main arrangement assumption was a new use of the instrument closest to the artist - that is, the piano. Hania decided to take advantage of its capabilities by pushing boundaries, stacking multiple layers and working on the sound of each, so that sometimes the sound is more like a harp or percussion instruments than a keyboard instrument. In addition to songs and more complex instrumental tracks, the album also includes compositions for solo piano, where, as before on "Essja", in addition to the piano sounds, we can hear other sounds: hammers, strings or simply the pianist's breath. The album was recorded again by Hani's friend - Piotr Wieczorek and Ignacy Gruszecki (Monochrome Studio). He is responsible for the mix, as in the case of "Esja" - Gijs van Klooster from Amsterdam and Piotr Wieczorek, for mastering Zino Mikorey (known for his work on albums by artists such as Nils Frahm or Olafur Arnalds).
