Beautifully crafted and hand-painted in warm pastel shades of sand, lavender, tangerine, rose, grape, blue, green, and gold with images of flowering vines and tree limbs holding two pheasants or birds of paradise, this lamp was produced by renowned manufacturer Wildwood Lighting. In addition to the vivid, Moriage style painting, the quality of this piece is evidenced by a milled - not pressed or plastic - solid brass socket housing and control knob. The socket is three way, allowing variable light intensity. All brass fittings show evidence of the lamp’s vintage age, with finial, socket, knob and harp having a rich brown antique brass patina. The jar cap has minute freckling, also consistent with the age of the lamp. The finial is a traditional scrolled design brass medallion. Lamp dimensions: Overall height to top of finial, 30”. Height to top of socket, 20”. Jar diameter, 10”. Base diameter, 6.5”. Cap/throat plate, 6”. Harp, 10”. Finial, 2” diameter by 3” tall. Cord, 86” (black).
