Description: This lovely folk art doll was handmade by Karenlee Spencer of Prairie Lifestyle Mercantile. Karenlee’s creations were sold in the best galleries, including the Museum of American Folk Art. The hand-painted face is made from a gourd. The body is stuffed with beans. She is dressed in antique doll clothes, although the blue print dress may be something the artist made from antique fabric. The little blue hat is something I added years ago.
