This will make it easier to spread and clean off the excess. Each time you wipe the grout with a sponge, do it once, then wait 10-15 minutes for the grout to start drying before wiping again. After 2-3 wipes, the grout will dry completely. You can use a soft, dry cloth to wipe off any excess grout around the edges.
