Alpaca Silver is an alloy that imitates sterling silver, but does not tarnish. This bright silver metal alloy is made up of copper, zinc and nickel. All of these natural materials, including the semi-precious stones, are extracted from the local mountains by artisanal miners. Some pieces receive a Silver Overlay which refers to a heavy pure silver electroplate on the surface of a piece of jewelry, commonly referred to as Silver Plated.
