Description: This unusual Lacquerware Box was Hand made and painted in Viet-Nam. It is red lacquer with an acymetrical design. The design centers around a firery copper diamond with 2 Asian characters in the middle. Borders of black and green lacquer painted patterns build into a striking design. The interior of the lid is marked with the logo for Viet-Nam Arts and Crafts. I believe that the figure next to the logo is the artist's signature. The lid lifts off and does not fasten. Length: 6 1/2" Width: 6 1/2" Height with Lid: 3" No chips or cracks. This is a hand painted design and there is some smudging in the design. 1 corner of the lid has wear to the red lacquer.
