Description: Hand Crafted Carved Soapstone Nativity Figurines Made in Kenya - Lot of 2 These are the adult figures from a nativity set. They measure 4-1/2" tall x 1-3/4" round at the bottom. Sadly I do not have the baby in this set. Each of the figures are hand carved from one piece of soapstone with a machete then wet sanded smooth by the artistsof Vaneal Self-Help Group in the Kisii region of Kenya. Once the carving is finished, the piece if dyed and etched with the finishing accent patterns. (obtained this info from another listing already sold)
