Description: This mask was converted from the Star Trek Captain James T. Kirk/William Shatner mask from Trick or Treat Studios - now out of print - into a Michael Myers mask, similarly to the process that was used in the original 1978 Halloween film. The sideburns and eyebrows were removed, the hairline adjusted using rubber cement, and the eyelids were cut for. The mask was then sprayed white with white Plastidip spray paint, which is flexible and doesn’t crack, unlike regular spray paint from Krylon or Rustoleum. A wash of black acrylic paint was used to simulate a dirty and filthy appearance, and then sealed with a clear Plastidip matte spray. The dirty appearance is more akin to how it looks in the second film. The inside of the mask has been dusted with a bit of cornstarch to remove moisture and to make putting the mask on and off easier. The mask is absolutely wearable and makes a great display piece. If taken care of, it should last for a lifetime. See photos.
