Description: For Hallicrafters SX-28 Shaft for knob and flexible coupling to the variable cap located on the right side of the front panel near the top. This is one of the styles of couplings I've encountered. It looks a lot older than the others so may be original equipment. I don't really know and I'm not aware of any way to find out. Apparently these items take a beating and have been replaced with all sorts of similar styles over the years. FYI: I'm selling a LOT of SX-28 parts. Inquire if there's something special you need.
