Description: Offered is a Pharmacy Physician Rx Caduceus Symbol Serving Bowl. The bowl was made by Hall China for Owens Illinois who made various size glasses to match the dishes. The items were then offered as promotion pieces to pharmacies since Owens Illinois made all the glass bottles used in pharmacies. Research indicates this piece may have been produced in the 1950’s and 1960’s The bowl was purchased at an estate sale of a collector of apothecary items. The bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. Gold gilding and Rx & caduceus symbols show no wear. This is an unmarked piece. The bowl measures approximately 10” diameter x 3 ½” tall. Please review all photos as they are a major part of the description.
