Condition: This pretty Autumn Leaf flat soup bowl was made by the The Hall China Company. Autumn Leaf (made for the Jewel Tea Co.) is a huge pattern with many accessory pieces. The length of its production says it all (1938 to 1978). This pattern was one of the most popular Hall China patterns that was produced. Our lovely flat soup bowl has the Mary Dunbar backstamp. This backstamp was used between 1942 and 1945. This flat soup bowl is in UNDAMAGED CONDITION without chips or cracks. It is free of disfiguring mold or production imperfections. The gold on the bowl is fantastic. The decals are wonderful. We have duplicates of this pretty bowl. All of them are in the same UNDAMAGED CONDITION as the one shown. Autumn Leaf - Hall China with the Autumn Leaf decal first appeared in 1933 with the introduction of the 9" mixing bowl. This lovely pattern was the best selling pattern ever produced by Hall. Autumn Leaf was made exclusively for the Jewel Tea Company of Barrington, Il. In the early years pieces of Autumn Leaf were given away as premiums for the purchase of other products. Soon the pattern line developed and new items were added to the line regularly and old ones were discontinued. Autumn Leaf became a number one seller and Jewel Tea sold the pattern through 1976. In 1978, some items were reissued for a brief period and a few pieces were made to be given out as awards to outstanding sales people. Jewel's exclusive rights for this pattern ran out and in the last few years limited edition items have been made for both the National Autumn Leaf Collectors Club and a private company called China Specialties.
