Description: Chubby&Charming!! Offered is a Mid Century stoneware bulldog figurine. Manufactured by the Gustavsberg Factory, Sweden ca. 1960’s. It was designed by the prolific artist Lisa Larson. This was the 1st bulldog she designed in 1959 as part of her “Large Zoo Series”. Made of chamotted stoneware with a glossy glaze in mottled golden brown tones on the body with a brighter brown matte finish face… gotta love the contrast! Signed on the bottom with2 original paper labels. Dimensions: 5 1/4” across x 5 1/2” deep x 5” tall. In excellent vintage condition. Produced only in the years between 1960-68 and are no longer in production. An iconic piece by the wonderfully talented Lisa Larson…a must have in any collection! Smoke/pet free.
