Give your car the detail and love she deserves! Guru Colors formulated Trunk Spatter Finish is designed for restoring classic cars. This color is perfect for all 100 point restorations. Guru Colors aerosol cans use a premium spray nozzle that is resistant to clogging! Our colors have great coverage too, which will minimize coats and save paint! All parts is the picture were painted using this color for a "FACTORY FRESH" look. The trunk in the picture was paint with these aerosol cans! It took three 11oz cans of Trunk Gray, TG06. Throw away that old spatter paint! This NEW trunk speckle/ spatter is identical to the the original! This paint is NOT WATER BASED so it will not wash out like the other stuff. This paint DOES NOT REQUIRE TO BE CLEAR COATED for protection either. This trunk splatter will be smooth to the touch, which is awesome compared to the other companies rough finish. All original trunks are smooth to the touch. Start by laying out the grey base then simply dust the white over the grey. The white is designed to spray out little dots/ speckles. We recommended that the white is tested before spraying in the trunk so the painter can get a good feel for how it will lay out. The closer the white can is the bigger the dots and the further away the can is the smaller the dots get. The nozzle should not be held down and sprayed out, it should be lightly dusted or spritzed on to lightly coat with speckles Before spraying your trunk with the spatter paint do a test spray by spraying on a test surface so the painter can get a good feel for how it works. The closer the Aqua can is the bigger the dots and the further away the can is the smaller the dots get. Once you have the desired spray out on a test surface then spray your trunk. Start by spraying the base color then simply stand back and dust the spatter color over the base color. The spatter is designed to spray out little dots/ speckles. When spraying spatter you should be about 3 feet from the surface and the can should be sprayed out in short, quick burst. Do not hold the nozzle down while spraying like a regular can, push the nozzle and release quickly, moving the can quickly to get a light spatter effect. When spraying spatter less is more.
