Description: Gulf States Paper Corporation art collection catalogs. Gulf States consolidated its operations in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, in 1929. The company opened a new headquarters complex in spring 1970. Jack Warner, grandson of the founder, worked for the company for many years and eventually became CEO. He began expanding what became a very successful operation. In the 1950s he started collecting American art and built one of the largest private collections of such works, buying for both himself and the company. These two pamphlets offer highlights from Warner's purchases which eventually numbered over 400. Warner died in 2017; some of the works were sold and the rest have formed the collection of the private Tuscaloosa Art Museum. The first pamphlet with the photograph on the cover is undated; the other indicates it is a third revision from 1974. Both are in very good condition with no marks or tears.
