Description: This is a numbered Ver Sacrum Wien satchel handbag. These bags are quite hard to find and this particular pattern is almost unseen. The fabric is in good condition, with only light wear to some of the bottom corners. The leather trim is a beige color and is in good shape but does show some wear - no cracking but just wearing away of the color (see last picture) The bag measures approximately 11" x 9" x 4" with a strap drop of 9". The bag is from the Ver Sacrum Museum in Vienna which is dedicated to preserving the legacy of the "Ver Sacrum" (or "Sacred Spring" in Latin) which was a magazine front lined by pioneers of the Secession movement - some artists include Gustav Klimt and Alfred Roller. The time period was turn of the 20th century, so you can definitely feel a bit of that Art Nouveau feel in the design of this bag.
