Description: This "capital plastics style' holder was designed to protect the original GSA holders from damage and degradation due to handling during usual display, sale, shows, auction house procedures etc. The Original GSA coins often command a substantial premium to many other coins because of the pedigree history, scarcity and unique nature of the GSA hoard. Oftentimes the premium is augmented in a Original holder that is in good condition without cracks, obtrusive scratches or wear. Even once an original GSA holder is damaged this protector provides a way to prevent undesirable toning or damage to the coin itself and could prove very beneficial. This protector is very helpful to prevent GSA holder damage and to protect the valuable coin and original holder. NGC type tape graded GSA's fit well also. This GSA protector was made by Armored Brand in the USA. The specifications and design were for the purpose of protecting valuable irreplaceable original GSA holders. The halves are designed to easily accommodate the original GSA holder and screws then placed to hold the 2 halves together and can be easily removed as well. This allows the owner to easy exchange GSA's to be protected if desired. This GSA protector has never been used and is in new condition. It will be safely packaged to include the 6 plastic screws.
