Mounting plate is 11/16" x 1-5/8", and mounting is accomplished by means of toggle switch lock-nuts, and has a tab in the switch yoke hole for off position of switch thread. Meaning, that the switch will be in the (on) position when the red guard cover is down, and manually turned (off) when then red guard has been raised up. If the switch guard needs to operate the opposite of that, the tab can easily be removed, with a file, or a Dremel grinding bit, to allow the switch to be installed in either on, or off position, when the red guard is down. Overall height of guard in closed position is, 1", 1-5/8" in open position.
