He has also worked on many other projects including Eric Clapton's Blackie, StevieRayVaughan's NumberOne and Lenny, Andy Summers' TributeTelecaster, and EVH's Frankenstein. Benedettoguitar creation techniques caught the attention of Stephen Stern, who became involved in the production of Gretsch guitars as a teacher and student, and is currently active as a Gretsch master builder.This model is the orthodox 1959 DuoJet. It is a smaller solid guitar model than the 6120 and 6119, but it features a chambered structure. With its mahogany body, mahogany neck, and ebony finger print, it is a model made with Gibson's Les Paul in mind rather than a boxy Gretsch. The back of the body is colored TobaccoStain, and as GonzaloMadrigal said on his own Instagram, it seems to reproduce the discolored texture caused by cigarette tar, giving it a cool texture that gives it a mature feel. .The entire body has been relic-finished, and the vintage-like texture that has been used for many years, such as detailed weather checks and peeling paint, has been beautifully reproduced.
