Green Cherokee Tomato Seeds | Heirloom Tomatoes | Organic | Rare | Beefsteak

Description: (Indeterminate/80 days) Green Cherokee Tomato was discovered among Chocolate Cherokee Tomato plants and stabilized by Craig Lehoullier. This beautiful tomato has all of the legendary Cherokee flavor and is a favorite with growers everywhere. It produces large quantities of delicious 8+ ounce, green-when-ripe fruit with a little yellow coloring on the blossom end. They are healthy and productive plants that will definitely need to be staked because of the weight they produce. Do not plant out until 2 weeks after last frost. Tomato seeds require high soil temperatures for good germination rates. We highly recommend heat mats to ensure and speed up germination. Pot up to 3–4 inch pots when first true leaves develop (not cotyledon leaves). Harden off plants for 1-2 weeks in full sun before transplanting them outside (after last frost). Make sure to give tomato plants a lot of space for vigorous root and foliage growth.
