Description: [Greco] EG59-60 Mint Collection Series Sunburst Made in JPN 1989 LP Type Guitar Description Greco EG59-60 Made in 1989 [Les Paul model from the Mint Collection period] In 1982, the Mint Collection series, a series of precise Gibson copy models, was launched, succeeding the Super Real series and Super Power series. The Mint Collection series is extremely popular both in Japan and overseas due to its sophisticated specifications that inherit the legendary Super Real series and Super Power series, which were said to surpass the original Gibson. This model is a reproduction of the traditional '59 Les Paul model. The body has a flame maple top with impressive three-dimensional grain and a mahogany back. The neck is made of mahogany and the fingerboard is made of rosewood. It has a 22-fret, deep joint set neck with a scale of approximately 628 mm. It is made with the '59 model in mind, and the neck shape is a neat C shape. The pickup is a Screamin PU. This is a representative pickup that shapes the sound of the mint condition period, and it has a strong back, a moderate fullness, and good clarity. The EG59-60 and 70 from this period seem to have almost the same specifications, and only the pickups were different. Also, the seal and engraving on the back are no longer there from that period, making it difficult to judge by appearance alone. However, it seems that the Dry PU from that period was a 4-core type, so based on the above, we have determined that it is a Screamin PU. Controls are 2 volumes, 2 tones, and a 3-way toggle switch. The condition is that the neck is flat. There are small scratches and dents due to use, and the parts are dull. The escutcheon of the front PU is partially cracked. The 4th string peg is slightly lighter. The string height is 12F 6th string about 1.8mm, 1st string about 1.6mm. The truss rod has plenty of room to tighten and loosen. About 80% of the frets remain and there are no low spots. There is no buzzing or clogging. *Please check the photos to see the condition of the exterior.
