Description: I carved this great gray owl from high-quality, kiln dried, northern pine. Her baby owl was carved from tupelo wood. I installed glass eyes and painted them both with acrylic paint. The entire carving is approximately 28” high and it is on a 12” diameter oak base. The mother owl is about 28 1/2” long and about 10” wide at her widest point. The entire carving weighs about 40 pounds and will be shipped insured in 2 separate boxes. 1 box will contain the base with the baby owl permanently mounted inside the stump. The second box will contain just the mother owl, who has a 7/8” diameter wooden dowel affixed to her underside so that she can be fixed to the matching hole in the stump on the base. NOTE: The 2 boxes will be insured for the full sale price which means an adult signature will be required upon delivery.
