Published at the height of the Depression, the portfolio, limited to 133 numbered and signed sets, is also Gellert's scarcest work, seldom encountered in a complete state. This lithograph features a large charcoal illustration of a starving child walking through a cityscape, with text from "Law of Capitalist Accumulation" (Effect of Crises on the Better-Paid Part of the Working Class) on the opposite page. 82148.
