Description: Beautiful vintage designer signed ornate sterling silver onyx and marcasite art deco style ring, size 7 3/4, sizable. This is a particularly well made, beautifully detailed onyx ring. It is 13/16” long by 11/16” wide and weighs 6.9 grams. This ring is firmly prong set with a 15 mm by 12 mm beveled edge onyx gemstone that is octagonal and that has a lovely polish. It is framed with approximately 36 faceted marcasite stones in a matching octagonal frame. The shoulders of this ring are textured in a triple shank design with a gorgeous scroll work gallery. The shank is sturdy and comfortable. This fine ring is fully hallmarked, “MARC” with a crown symbol and “925”. It has been professionally tested as solid sterling silver and the onyx and marcasite has been verified by a certified gemologist. This ring is in very good vintage condition with no damage other than, perhaps, very minor oxidation or surface wear. I could find no damage on the onyx. While art deco style onyx and marcasite rings are fairly common, this particular ring is a stand-out.
