However, the seller considers that this is only a high quality Stainer copy. The case bears a label of “Kschier Brothers, Pittsburgh”. Online search reveals that this violin was being serviced by Kschier Brothers, a three-generation violin repair family business in Pittsburgh from 1850 to 1981, as quoted below: “the Kschier family, which has repaired string instruments here since 1850, would surely receive a plaque.
