Description: Gorgeous Antique Brass Scrollwork and Beveled Glass Trinket Dresser Jewelry Box Presented is a beautiful antique brass and cut glass jewelry or trinket box. This piece dates to around the 1850s-1870s and is possibly of English or European make. The box itself is made from brass in an openwork design of foliate scrolls, while each side is set with a diamond shaped panel of clear beveled glass. The lid is also glass, in the same thick, beveled style, so whatever jewelry or notions you store inside will be displayed to lovely effect. This is the type of piece that would have been shown at the Crystal Palace Exhibition, a fine piece of metal and glass work. This piece is in excellent overall condition. The glass panels have only the most minor of surface abrasion here and there, but no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. The brass is in great shape, though it could be cleaned/polished up. The lid shuts well and the hinges are in good shape. The box measures about 5 inches square and stands about 4 1/8 inches tall. -jm Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
