Description: Up for bid is a George IV Scottish KINGS pattern teaspoon by Mitchell & Son, Glasgow, 1825-26. The spoon is 5 3/4 inches long and weighs 23 grams. The spoon has flared shoulders, a swaged drop and a downturned single die-struck Kings pattern handle. It is monogrammed āCā on the handle front. The piece is marked with a maker's mark of [M&S] and full Glasgow hallmarks for 1825-26 as shown. Condition on the spoon is fairly good. There is very minor tip wear, a shallow bowl dent and normal wear from use. A good piece of Scottish silver.
