Description: For sale is an early sterling bright-cut pattern berry shovel. The spoon is 8 1/4 inches long and weighs 74 grams. The scoop-shaped bowl has a stippled and lightly gilded interior with engraved raspberries. The downturned rounded handle is also stippled and has bright-cut decoration. The spoon is monogrammed “ECB” on the handle front. The spoon is marked “8” [STERLING] and “CHAS. BEIN” as shown. Condition on the spoon is fairly good. There is a skillfully repaired crack in one side of the bowl, with just minor discoloration. Otherwise there is just normal wear. A nice old serving spoon!
