Description: This lighter colored (more yellowish towards the bottom) pint Globe fruit jar is 7" tall, with nearly perfect ground lip. Neck clampand closures are rusty but still very workable. The major drawback with this jar is the embossing. The only letters that showare BE. GLO is almost like it's peened out. I'm sure this was a manufacturing flaw regarding the blower who blew the jar. Andthe molten glass simply didn't expand into the first 3 letters. There's also a tiny, light scratch above the B (3/4" long). I tried topicture it in the last 2 photos, but it's so light, it doesn't really show up. Only seen when held up to the light. Other than that.the jar and lid have no chips, cracks, dings, stains, or other issues. This pretty little jar has been in my collection for a few years now, and has always behaved very well around the other jars. I've never clamped the closure completely down on thelid, as it's already a tight fit, and I didn't want to damage it. But this jar will definitely add some color to your shelf despite theembossing. Probably shipped Ground Advantage. Thanks for looking.P/S. Added 2 photos at the end to show the closure works properly.
