Description: Glenn Gomez (b. 1954) is a traditional potter from Taos Pueblo. His mother was a well known pottery teacher; Cordelia “Cordi” Gomez of Pojoaque Pueblo. When he married, he moved to Taos, which is his wife’s pueblo. This bowl has a carved rim and cover unique to Glenn. It is made with micaceous clay and slipped with mica. Mica is what creates the shimmering effect. It is signed on the bottom, “Glenn Gomez Taos Pojoaque”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair. It is 6.5” tall and 6” at widest point. I’ve seen a similar pot by Glenn in a Tucson museum. Pot will come with Glenn’s business card.
