Description: This is a 3 map set which shows where everyone lived in the town of Glen Cove, New York from 1873 which was reproduced on fine natural color parchment. They're each 11"x 17" and suitable to fit a standard size frame or can be matted to fit a larger museum quality mat. The pictures provided show only portions of the actual maps, please feel free to contact me with any questions!Contained on the maps are finely detailed locations of the homeowners of Glen Cove. The first map (1st 2 pics) show the left and right sections of the Glen Cove Town map. The second map ( 3rd & 4th pics) shows the entire northern section of Oyster Bay. The third map (5th pic) shows the planned layout of a section of Sea Cliff as it appeared back then. The names in the more populated section are a little hard to read due to the density of that section. Some of the surnames which are clearly printed are Leach, Duryea, Valentine, Crocker, Frost, Pearsall, Smith, Wright, Thorne, Craft and so many more that it's impossible to list! Also indicated on the map are schools, named streets, railroads and rivers/streams. It would indeed make quite a conversation piece as well as an excellent gift for that person who has everything! What a great genealogical treasure to be able to locate the homes of one or more of your ancestors! Multiple purchases can be combined for one shipping charge!
