All copies also contain a hole on the spine. This signified that it was ultimately an unsold copy sent back to the distributor. They would mark the spine in this manner to signify that the artist would not receive royalties from that copy. The foam pads are shot. The splice seems okay, but I would recommend adding a new splice if you plan to open your copy and play it. I can replace those for you (no extra cost!). I can even swap out the plastic wheel with a rubber one if you want. I'll reseal it in heatshrink, which looks professional. Just shoot me a message after purchasing!
