Description: For sale is a 45 RPM vinyl single from Glen Campbell titled "Southern Nights b/w William tell Overture", originally released in 1977 by Capitol Records. I bought this used and immediately put it into an archival inner sleeve, then into a storage box for seven inch 45 RPM vinyl records, that was kept under optimum conditions for both temperature and humidity until today. The original inner sleeve is graded as Excellent because of small wrinkles along the opening, ink writing and some small round stains. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is etched the matrix numbers G-11 #3/Z-3 #8, along with "TML-M", followed by what appears to be a tipped over Martini glass (This "glass" actually represents a Winchester rifle). These etchings indicate that this single was mastered at The Mastering Lab of Hollywood, California, before early stampers were used to make this record at Capitol Record's pressing plant, located in Winchester, Virginia. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. The vinyl is visually graded as Excellent because of some superficial sleeve marks, but still with surfaces that are shiny and bright, without any surface scratches, smudges or scuffs.
