Description: Antique hand blown white striped South Jersey clear glass pitcher. Applied base and handle. No damage. Open pontil on base. Heavy, brilliant glass and beautifully formed.. Attributed to Whitney Glassworks in Glassboro NJ. 1884-1918. Great skill and form are clearly evident in this white striped 7 1/4" tall handled pitcher. The mixture of milk glass and crystal clear stripes is difficult to master. Whitney was a major medical glass producer. A beautiful and scarce historic South Jersey whimsy piece.
