Description: Limited Edition piece, #3141 out of 5,000 created Signed by artist In original box with certificate of authentication (opened box) Mahogany base. Made In Italy. Model # 1276C Giuseppe Armani (1935 - 2006) Giuseppe Armani is an Italian sculptor artist of the second half of the 20th century who became known internationally for his high quality, very realistic, finely carved female figurines, full of grace and life. Its style recalls that of the paintings of the masters of the Florentine Renaissance such as Botticelli, but also that of the artists of the early 20th century with his young women of the 1920s. His sculptures are now collected around the world, especially in the United States. Giuseppe Armani was born in 1935 in the town of Calci in Italy. An exhibition of young artists will reveal his talent, in particular thanks to the anatomical precision of his work. He will then work for an art gallery in Pisa, while training in art and sculpture. In 1975, the company "Florence Sculture d'Arte" offered him an exclusive job including complete freedom of choice in his creations. He will remain there until the end of his career. Each of his figurines has a creation number, ending with a letter indicating the type of finish or patina. The sculpture is generally fixed on a wooden base (mahogany), more rarely in marble. Labels indicate the number as well as the mark "Florence Sculture d'arte" and the N crowned in blue imitating the mark of Capodimonte. Giuseppe Armani created the model, then the many copies were decorated by hand by the painters of the Florence studios. Thus, each room remained different and with a more or less thorough decorative quality. The pieces are made of cold porcelain, a kind of malleable white paste or resin that easily takes the shape of the molds while maintaining the quality of the detail. Once decorated, the oldest (and most sought-after) pieces are signed by Giuseppe Armani. The signature is in the mold for newer pieces. This figurine, originally, is part of a set of three figurines that Armani has made especially for the passage of the new millennium. Starlight "Stardust + Comet + Silver Moon here present". The master died in 2006 and following his death the factories were closed. So there are no more opportunities to find new parts. Over time, the most beautiful ones become very rare, especially those in good condition, with the original certificate and box. The value of these works are constantly climbing, so it is an excellent investment.
