Description: I bought this Gitzo R. No.4 pan / tilt head back in the 1980s for my 8x10 camera. It is in extremely good shape, with the usual age and use marks. There is a spot or two of rust on the chrome handles. The long handle has the slightest warp to it, but it does not affect the use of the handle or its ability to tighten the head. Age marks on plastic grip top material from my quick Sachtler release mechanism i used to have on it. Plate measures 6 1/2" x 3 3/4". As far as load capacity, I dont remember the exact figure, but it held my 8x10 with no problem, and it weighed around 15 lbs. I had it on my old Gitzo and it didnt move at all, even in wind.
