It is made out of a chalk ware type substance with a light glaze on the top side. It is pleasingly textured in a pattern that could look like a rose or bird nest. If this is the same Giana Rose that makes soap that is sold commercially along with a soap dish, then this seems like a dish that wouldn’t be well suited for the moisture of a bathroom sink or the residue that comes from soap. The dish is in very good condition.
