Description: German Porcelain Rose Pattern Gold Trim Dish Circle Maker Mark w/Germany 33. Beautiful roses surrounded by a gold scroll type pattern really make this stunning. It is in very good condition but does have some wear on the bottom rim of the dish and some black spots of imperfections in the glaze that are on the backside. It is approx. 7.5 in. wide and 1.5 in. tall at its peak on the edges. This maker's mark has been driving me crazy. It seems to be a rarity and the best I've come up with is that it could be from a factory that burned down in Northern Germany pre-WWI. This should have a * mark at the bottom of the circle but it has worn off. It dates from after the McKinley Tariff Act but prior to WWII. I have been down the rabbit hole researching this and it has become a quest. I'm hoping one of you out there can help with informing me, please. I have lost sleep over this mark! It really is a beautiful dish! Please look over the photos carefully as this is a pre-owned item.
