Description: Very Scarce Artist Monograph of Georges Rouault. Not many of these survived, as people would often cut out the Plates and Sell/Frame them individually… you’ll find many listing here on eBay (and other platforms selling the individual plates for $40 and UP! This book has 39 Plates (20” x 8”) plus the Frontispiece… to go along with 37 pages of text (In Original French Language) These books have simple paper covers . The paper on the inside is higher quality than the paper covers. While the covers were nicely preserved by a Mylar protective jacket… the spine is heavily worn leading to some loose pages throughout… but again, they’re all there. I have one other copy of this available for same price (that I got from the same source)… the only other listing of a full book is for ~$170!
