Mechanic Theatre in Baltimore, Maryland. (The Original Off-Broadway production opened January 22nd, 1968 at the Village Gate Theatre in New York City and ran for 1847 performances while simultaneously playing on the road.) ..... The musical starred STAN PORTER and HENRIETTA VALOR and featured GEORGE LEE ANDREWS, FRAN UDITSKY, TED LAWRIE and CAROLYN LESLIE ....
