George A. Bush Original science fiction oil painting, Gothic Beast Slayer 1969

Description: Up for “Buy it Now” or “Best Offer” A Blast from my late brothers past. An original George A. Bush oil painting from his late teenage years, I believe around 1969 as he was just finishing up his last year in High school ! He was painting long before he attended the art Institute of Pittsburgh. As kids back in the 60's we were always watching the old classic horror movies like Creatures from the black lagoon, Gorgo, Godzilla, King Kong and the list goes on and on. His favorite artist back then was Frank Frazetta among others who created paintings of gothic beast slayers and we can't leave out the Scantily clothed Warrior women. There were stacks of si-fi magazines in our bedroom like Creepy, Erie, Famous Monsters and we can't leave out our MAD magazines for some comic relief. Ah the stories I have in the back of my 66 year old brain. Back in the days long before videos, all our parents needed to do to keep us quiet was to give us tablets of drawing paper and we were busy drawing for days on end. Even though I am 5 years younger than my brother, talent wise I was not that far behind his artistic talent. My mom told me later in life why I was discouraged in pursuing a career in art. She simply stated that they did not want both of us to grow up to be starving artists. True story 😁. Okay long story short, I have a lot of these Gothic medieval Warrior type paintings. I thought I would post this one to see what kind of reaction I get. If you want to see some more I will start putting them here on eBay. Let me know what you think.
