This species, Guaiacum officinale, has a Janka hardness of around 4400 which is vey dense as well as oily. Colors under the patina will vary. This blank was cut and waxed in the 1990s. The blank contains what appears to be a knot in the endgrain as went as sapwood areas. Cracks may exist under the wax, especially near the knot. *SHIPPING* Maximum combined shipping is just $10 if all items are under 12-7/8" in length. Maximum combined shipping is $15 for orders with blanks longer than 12-7/8” , any size bowl blanks, or boards over 12-7/8” in length.
