Gemeinhardt 3KSB Custom Professional handmade Flute - Solid Silver

Description: For sale is this rare Kurt Gemeinhardt 3KSB handmade professional flute. The flute has a solid silver body and foot, a solid silver J1 Custom headjoint, 12K gold springs, pointed arm keys, open hole, in-line G, and a low B foot w/gizmo. These were Gemeinhardts top flutes in the late 90’s and saw a very short production run. These are relatively rare to find for sale. The flute plays beautifully. Very free blowing headjoint. Nice even sound with a great sparkle in the upper register. Nice Light action in the keys. I purchased this instrument from the original owner who said they played it very little. They purchased for college then changed their degree. With me it has seen zero use - It has just sat in the case in a closet for 5-6 years. the flute looks great. Cosmetically 9.5+ out of 10. Some minor surface scratches from use and being set down on a lap/table. Barely even any tarnish. Pads look excellent. More than anything it needs to be played after sitting. The flute comes in the original hardshell French case with green velvet interior and nylon zippered case cover. The case is in good shape, but the interior shows wear and minor discoloration from sitting with the flute in it. The cover is in great shape. The case protects the flute well. This flute retailed for $2280 new in the late 90’s. The current equivalent model from Gemeinhardt retails for over $4,600.
